Bunny Levine, Former Librarian Turned Actress in ‘Gilmore Girls,’ Thelma’ and ‘You Don’t Mess With the Zohan,’ Dies at 97

Bunny Levine, a former New Jersey school librarian turned actress, has died at age 97. After retiring from her library career, Levine built an extensive acting résumé with appearances in television series such as Gilmore Girls, Shameless, Law Order, New Girl, Southland, and Everybody Loves Raymond. Her film work included roles in Thelma and two Adam Sandler movies, including You Don’t Mess With the Zohan. Levine originally graduated from college in 1951 before pursuing her professional acting career.
