Bystanders caught in crossfire include woman killed, man wounded in Lockport Township

Two bystanders were caught in crossfire outside a home in Lockport Township on Tuesday night. Will County sheriff's deputies responded to the 200 block of Dellwood Avenue around 7:55 p.m. Upon arrival, officials discovered a 31-year-old woman and an adult male in a driveway. Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital, where the woman was pronounced dead. The man is expected to recover. Preliminary investigations confirm both victims were merely bystanders during the shooting incident.
