Government Rolls Out Rs 1,500 Crore Battery Recycling Scheme to Strengthen EV Supply Chain

Canada has launched a competition review focusing on its food supply chain. Simultaneously, the government has introduced the Critical Mineral Recycling Incentive Scheme, backed by Rs 1,500 crore, to strengthen the electric vehicle ecosystem. This initiative aims to develop a domestic recycling industry to meet the surging demand for lithium-ion batteries and ensure a consistent supply of essential materials for EV production, thereby enhancing the overall stability and growth of the national battery supply chain.
