Challenge made after angler breaks state record for often-overlooked fish species

An angler has broken the state record for a frequently overlooked fish species. The previous record stood for only fifteen months before being surpassed, which suggests that the current milestone might be topped even more quickly. This event demonstrates a trend of rapid record-breaking for this specific species, as the previous benchmark was overturned in a short period, indicating that the new record could potentially fall faster than the one it replaced.
