The Chester Historical Society is currently hosting a bronze minuteman statuette sculpted by the famed artist Daniel Chester French. The artwork is on loan to the town's museum through the fall. French maintained significant ties to Chester, including summer visits to his grandparents' home on Chester Street. Jackie Brown, a member of the society, has authored several books detailing local history and the life of the sculptor, documenting these specific regional connections.
