CIA declassifies presidential daily briefs leading up to 9/11 attacks

The CIA has declassified 71 presidential daily briefs spanning from February 1998 to September 12, 2001. Released on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, these documents detail intelligence gathered on Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida. The briefings illustrate how security analysts tracked Bin Laden's movements, support systems, and networks within the United States and abroad. They further highlight official concerns regarding potential threats to US targets prior to the hijackings that killed nearly 3,000 people.
