Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance, Secure Firewall Threat Defense, and Secure Firewall Management Center Software Hardening Release: September 2026

Cisco has released software hardening updates for Secure Firewall ASA, FTD, and FMC following an internal security review. These updates address multiple vulnerabilities, including two actively exploited flaws. Reported issues include several denial of service (DoS) vulnerabilities affecting IKEv2, EIGRP, DTLS, and TLS 1.3, as well as DNS and SSL VPN flaws. Additionally, logic errors in ACL Object Group Search could allow attackers to bypass access controls. Cisco has provided software updates to mitigate these risks.
