Anthropic releases its first Mythos-class model to the public

Anthropic has released Claude Fable 5, a public, guardrailed version of its Mythos-class AI previously restricted under Project Glasswing. This model exceeds all previous general releases in software engineering, vision, and knowledge work. Hex reports Fable 5 is the first to surpass 90% on complex analytical benchmarks, while scoring 80.3% on SWE-Bench-Pro. Additionally, Anthropic launched Claude Mythos 5, a restricted version with certain safeguards lifted for approved users to enhance cybersecurity and scientific research capabilities.
