Hasan Piker sues Scott Jennings for defamation

Progressive Twitch streamer Hasan Piker has filed a 38-page defamation lawsuit in federal court in Washington, D.C., against CNN commentator Scott Jennings. Piker alleges that Jennings aired an edited video during an August 11 podcast episode, falsely claiming Piker advocated for the lynching of Black Americans. The lawsuit asserts that these claims are fabricated and false, specifically citing the dissemination of a misleading livestream that wrongly suggested Piker called for racial violence against Black citizens.
