COD Black Ops 1 and 2 dev says it’s ‘hard to watch’ the new ports selling well while ‘the actual creators don’t see a dime’

Activision recently released ports of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on PlayStation, selling over 11 million copies on PS4 and PS5. Former Treyarch developer Gavin Goslin described the success as bittersweet, stating that the original creators do not receive any financial benefit. Goslin claims that while Activision and Microsoft are printing money from work completed over a decade ago, the developers who endured brutal crunch hours see nothing.
