Comptroller requests doubling Texas school voucher program to $2 billion

Meanwhile, Alpha School has significantly expanded its private school campuses within Texas. Although the state previously rejected Alpha School's bid to open a charter, the institution has now been approved for the voucher program, making most of its campuses eligible to receive state funding through this initiative.
