1 death linked to Tropical Storm Lala as more than 100,000 remain without power in Hawaii

Hurricane Lala has caused significant devastation across Hawaii, leaving over 100,000 customers without electricity. Hawaiian Electric Co. crews are actively working to restore power to approximately 57,000 residents on Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii island. The storm has resulted in one confirmed death. In the southern region of the Big Island, several communities remain isolated due to blocked roads and a total loss of communication services as debris continues to obstruct critical infrastructure.
