On a cruise ship, a hantavirus outbreak left 140+ passengers aboard. Two patients and a suspected case were evacuated to Cape Verde; the ship sailed to the Canary Islands. Three deaths. Hantavirus spreads via rodent droppings and rarely person-to-person.
