Crunchyroll Acquires International Rights to ‘Your Name’ Director Makoto Shinkai’s Next Film

Crunchyroll has acquired the international distribution rights for Makoto Shinkai's upcoming eighth feature film. The release will cover all countries outside of Japan and Asia, with the exception of India. This collaboration continues the partnership between Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures, who previously handled the global distribution of Suzume (2023). At this time, the title, plot details, and release date for the new film have not been disclosed by the involved parties.
