CXMT starts LPDDR6 mass production for Xiaomi’s upcoming 18 Fold

ChangXin Memory Technologies has initiated mass production of LPDDR6 DRAM, claiming to be the first in the industry to do so. These memory chips will be supplied for Xiaomi’s upcoming 18 Fold foldable smartphone. Xiaomi has confirmed that the device is scheduled for launch in September. This development occurs less than a year after CXMT began mass-producing previous memory technologies, positioning the Chinese chipmaker ahead of Western competitors in the announcement of LPDDR6 mass production.
