"Demanding the Truth": Family Wants Answers After ICE Kills Houston Dad Lorenzo Salgado Araujo

Immigration and civil rights advocacy groups are demanding an independent investigation into the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a Mexican immigrant and father of three, by ICE agents in Houston. While the Department of Homeland Security claims Salgado Araujo weaponized his vehicle to ram agents, advocates note similar claims in previous ICE killings were debunked. Following the incident, the Harris Co. DA's Office, led by Sean Teare, met with the victim's family to discuss the case.
