Democratic socialist Donavan McKinney wins Michigan House seat

Democratic socialist Donavan McKinney is projected to win Michigan's 13th Congressional District after defeating incumbent Rep. Shri Thanedar in the primary. Simultaneously, democratic socialist Chris Rabb is projected to win Pennsylvania's 3rd Congressional District, succeeding Rep. Dwight Evans. According to Decision Desk HQ, these victories expand the coalition of House progressives. Rabb secured a seat in one of the bluest districts in the nation, while McKinney successfully challenged a multimillionaire opponent to claim his seat.
