Diamondbacks Move Ketel Marte to Restricted List Minutes Before First Pitch

The Arizona Diamondbacks placed All-Star second baseman Ketel Marte on the restricted list minutes before Monday's first pitch. Reports indicate the team delayed the announcement hoping Marte would arrive in time for the game in Boston, but he went AWOL. It has been revealed that Marte is currently dealing with personal matters, which led to his exclusion from the lineup. The move was finalized just before the start of the game against the Boston team.
