Abbott appeals to Duffy to probe ‘illegal’ Islamic washing stations at Texas airports

Governor Greg Abbott is directing state and federal officials to review grants awarded to Texas airports following the installation of Islamic washing facilities. Abbott sent letters to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and DFW airport CEO Christopher McLaughlin, labeling the facilities illegal. In response to these threats regarding grant funding, Dallas-Fort Worth airport announced that plans to install the religious washing stations have been canceled. The governor continues to seek a probe into the funding of these facilities.
