Disney is currently exploring the launch of a free tier for Disney+, which would function as its own FAST offering. CEO Josh D'Amaro stated that the company is definitely considering this move to expand its reach toward a customer segment that is more price sensitive. While no official launch date was announced on Wednesday, the initiative aims to attract users who prefer ad-supported content over traditional paid subscriptions to increase the platform's overall market penetration.
