Do kids have school on Columbus Day?

Whether children have school on Columbus Day varies significantly across the United States. The determination of school closures depends entirely on the specific state regulations, the local school district policies, and the particular type of school the student attends. Because there is no universal rule, parents and students must verify the schedule with their own educational institutions to confirm if classes are held or if the day is observed as a holiday.
