FBI arrests Energy Department employee accused of attempting to support Houthis

The FBI arrested Ashton Hamed Ellaboudy, a 51-year-old Department of Energy employee at the Hanford nuclear site in Washington. According to the Justice Department, Ellaboudy is charged with attempting to provide material support or resources to the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen. The accusations include efforts to assist the foreign terrorist group by acquiring materials used for drones and homemade explosives. The arrest took place on Thursday in Richland, Washington, following the federal investigation.
