DoorDash has launched a beta text-to-order AI agent integrated within Apple Messages to compete with Uber Eats and Grubhub. This feature allows American users on a waitlist to place food orders using stored payment methods and order history. While AI agents like Instinct are gaining popularity, Bloomberg testing indicated that the DoorDash agent occasionally provided prices differing from the official app. This development marks a strategic move to enhance user convenience through conversational AI interfaces.
