Clear Eyes eye drops recalled nationwide over contamination risk, FDA says

Prestige Brands Holdings has voluntarily recalled 39,060 bottles of Clear Eyes Maximum Itchy Eye Relief 15mL drops nationwide. The FDA initiated the recall on July 29 due to a lack of assurance of sterility, warning that the product could contain harmful contaminants. Classified as a Class II recall on August 14, the FDA states that exposure may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences, although the probability of serious adverse health consequences is considered remote.
