2 men critically injured in overnight fire in south St. Louis

Two separate incidents occurred overnight Wednesday in St. Louis. In the Marine Villa neighborhood, a fire broke out around 2:15 a.m. on President Street, leaving two men critically injured. Meanwhile, in the Walnut Park East neighborhood, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported a shooting around 1:15 a.m. that left one man dead. Homicide detectives are currently investigating the shooting, while the St. Louis Fire Department responded to the heavy blaze in south St. Louis.
