EA is shutting down BioWare, next Mass Effect canceled

EA is shutting down the RPG studio BioWare, the developer responsible for Dragon Age and Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic. Consequently, the next Mass Effect game has been cancelled. This closure is part of a larger restructuring at EA, which involves cutting approximately 400 roles across the company, including roughly 50 positions at BioWare.
