East Side of Buffalo residents react to chaotic and violent weekend

Residents of Buffalo's East Side are reacting to a chaotic and violent holiday weekend. Six shootings occurred during the early hours of July 5, primarily concentrated in the Delavan-Grider area during a street takeover. In response, Masten District Councilwoman Zeneta Everhart hosted an emergency meeting at Mt. Olive Baptist Church on Wednesday night. Community members and leaders gathered at the event to discuss potential solutions to address the violence that plagued the neighborhood.
