TrailNote: A Project to Help People Spend More Time Outdoors#devchallenge#hf26challenge#openweights#touchgrass

TrailNote and EchoQuest are web applications designed to encourage outdoor exploration. TrailNote integrates bird-sound analysis, a digital field journal, and a species guide to help users record nature observations. EchoQuest gamifies exploration by turning the real world into an RPG, featuring GPS tracking, procedural quests, and spatial audio for eyes-up navigation. It utilizes open-weight multimodal models via camera vision to identify specimens, granting XP and stickers while maintaining complete data privacy for the users.
