EDG C++ Compiler is open source

The EDG C++ Compiler is now open source. Simultaneously, a computer science student has joined Hacktoberfest 2026 to transition from personal projects to real-world open-source contributions. Utilizing technologies like Git, GitHub, Python, and AI, the student aims to improve their workflow, understand professional project structures, and master the process of reading external code. The primary goals include making meaningful contributions and enhancing communication through pull requests and issues to step outside their comfort zone.
