EA Shuts Down Legendary RPG Developer BioWare

Electronic Arts has announced the closure of legendary RPG developer BioWare, ending early development on the next Mass Effect project. Following its transition to a private company in August, EA is cutting approximately 3% of its staff, totaling around 400 layoffs, including 50 employees at BioWare. This decision comes as the company shifts its focus toward more lucrative projects, marking the end of BioWare's operations after more than three decades of development in the gaming industry.
