Austin nurse sentenced to 3.5 years in prison after pleading guilty to abusing medically-fragile child

Recent legal proceedings have resulted in prison sentences for two individuals. In Austin, a nurse received 3.5 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice after pleading guilty to abusing a non-verbal 9-year-old boy with cerebral palsy. The abuse, captured on camera, included striking and choking. Separately, Christopher Singletary, a 26-year-old New Jersey man, was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to the sexual assault of multiple child victims.
