Emmy Awards to move to Prime Video in 2027

The Television Academy and Prime Video have signed a historic six-year deal, moving the Emmy Awards to the streaming platform. This transition ends the ceremony's more than 75-year tenure on traditional broadcast TV. The agreement, announced Tuesday, establishes the streaming giant as the new home for the annual awards gala starting in 2027. This strategic shift marks a significant departure from seven decades of broadcast history, relocating the prestigious event exclusively to the Prime Video service.
