Euclid Sees Heart of Milky Way

ESA’s Euclid mission, featuring NASA contributions, released an image on June 24, 2026, showing the heart of the Milky Way galaxy. This snapshot includes color from ground-based images and covers a specific galactic region. This area will be repeatedly observed in the coming years by NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, which is scheduled for launch later this summer. The Euclid observation serves as a preliminary look at the region before the telescope's mission.
