Anthropic Introduces Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS): Zero-Data-Retention Privacy Plus Cross-Session Misuse Detection

Anthropic announced Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS) on September 1, 2026, to resolve enterprise privacy issues for Claude Fable models. This architecture allows organizations in regulated sectors to maintain ZDR compliance by storing monitoring data within their own cloud accounts. While Anthropic manages automated detection, customers retain custody of encryption keys and flag reviews. Developed with over 100 enterprises, EFS integrates cross-session misuse detection and will be rolled out in phases throughout this fall.
