Red Lodge bear

Bear conflicts are increasing in the Red Lodge area of north-central Wyoming. The FWP reports that seven black bears have been euthanized due to these incidents. Officials attribute the spike in bold bear behavior to animals seeking unsecured garbage or other human food sources. Additionally, the FWP suspects that some individuals are intentionally feeding wildlife, which contributes to the ongoing problem and increases the frequency of dangerous encounters between bears and humans in the region.
