Firefighters trying to stop fast-moving Nevada wildfire from spreading to homes in Reno

A fast-moving wildfire in Nevada has expanded to over 23 square miles, threatening residential areas northwest of downtown Reno near the California state line. Firefighters are working to prevent the blaze from reaching homes in the foothills. Consequently, evacuation orders have been issued for approximately 42,000 residents as the GO NOW zone expanded toward the edge of the University of Nevada, forcing thousands of people to leave their homes immediately to ensure safety.
