Feds seize ex-Rep. Eric Swalwell’s devices, search home as part of sexual assault inquiry

Federal agents searched the Washington DC home of former Democratic representative Eric Swalwell on Sunday as part of a civil rights investigation into sexual assault allegations. FBI agents also seized electronic devices from Swalwell at the San Francisco airport on Saturday. These law enforcement actions follow allegations that Swalwell sexually assaulted a woman twice, including during her employment with him. Consequently, the former California representative announced his resignation from Congress in April amid the ongoing federal inquiry.
