ICE officer who shot Venezuelan man in Minneapolis charged with lying to investigators

Federal prosecutors have indicted ICE officer Christian Castro for making false statements to investigators regarding the shooting of Julio Sosa-Celis. The incident occurred in January during Operation Metro Surge in Minneapolis, where the Venezuelan man was shot in the leg. Sosa-Celis was one of three individuals shot by federal immigration agents during the crackdown. A federal grand jury returned the indictment against Castro, charging him with lying about the events leading up to the shooting.
