Film Academy Invites 529 to Become Members Including Jacob Elordi, Teyana Taylor and New Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro

The Film Academy invited 529 new members for 2026, including Jacob Elordi, Teyana Taylor, the Safdie Brothers, and Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro. Of these invitees, 42 percent are women, 56 percent represent underrepresented communities, and 53 percent are based in 60 different countries outside the United States. The new class also features 21 recent Oscar winners, alongside other notable figures such as Josh O’Connor and Mia Goth, maintaining the organization's tradition of diverse global expansion.
