Tuesday’s elections bring historic first for Black governors

The recent midterm elections have achieved historic milestones in the U.S., resulting in the election of the first Native American and Black governors. For the first time in national history, multiple Black governors will serve simultaneously. With three already victorious, there remains a possibility that voters will elect even more this year, contributing to a sweeping wave of historic firsts for various states and the nation as a whole during these significant electoral events.
