Flags of Valor memorial covers Art Hill in Forest Park

On Saturday, September 5, 2026, hundreds of volunteers gathered at Forest Park to establish the Flags of Valor memorial. Participants, including Greg Anderson and Michaela Herbst of Glendale, worked together to plant a total of 7,617 flags across Art Hill. This large-scale installation serves as a dedicated memorial for victims, with volunteers meticulously placing each flag in its designated location to cover the landscape in a tribute to those being honored by the event.
