The Trump administration is currently deporting record numbers of Vietnamese, Laotians, and Hmong individuals. Many of these people originally arrived in the United States as young war refugees. However, some later committed crimes, leading to their removal. One specific case involves an individual who fled to America at age eleven, committed theft at eighteen, and was eventually deported back to Vietnam at age forty-four as part of these increased enforcement actions by the government.
