Florida sues Netflix for tracking children’s data

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier has filed a lawsuit against Netflix, alleging the streaming giant tracked children's data and utilized exploitative advertising techniques. Uthmeier claims Netflix falsely informed Florida families that paying a monthly fee would prevent Big Tech surveillance. The lawsuit asserts that the company collected detailed data on children, with Uthmeier emphasizing that parents, rather than streaming corporations, should direct the upbringing of their children and manage their privacy and data exposure.
