UAE Says FlyDubai Co-Pilot Used Emergency Ax in Crash Attempt

UAE authorities confirmed that a FlyDubai co-pilot, Hamam al-Hammami, attempted a terrorist operation during Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The co-pilot allegedly assaulted Captain Smit Machchhar using an emergency crash axe in an effort to seize control of the aircraft. Despite the chaotic nature of the incident and the near-catastrophic attempt to crash the plane, the flight miraculously ended with a safe landing. Investigators are currently probing the details of the attack.
