Roman Space Telescope Travels to SpaceX Hangar

On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, NASA’s Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope was transported from the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility to the SpaceX hangar at Launch Complex 39A, located at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The telescope, currently encapsulated in its payload fairing, is being positioned for mating with a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket. The mission's science instruments are specifically designed to assist researchers in gaining a deeper understanding of dark energy and dark matter in the universe.
