Blueberry recall expands to more products sold at Publix as E. coli outbreak hospitalizes 4 people

The CDC is investigating an E. coli outbreak linked to blueberries, which has hospitalized four people. Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. of San Carlos, Chile, initially recalled one product on July 3, but the recall has now expanded to additional berry products. This action affects consumers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia who purchased the fruit at Publix. The FDA posted the official recall notice three days after the announcement.
