Game Over For Unlimited Xbox Cloud Play As Microsoft Imposes Caps

Microsoft is ending its unlimited streaming policy for Xbox Game Pass subscribers starting this November. The company will implement a tier-based allowance system with strict monthly playtime caps. Simultaneously, Microsoft is opening cloud access to non-subscribers and expanding the Xbox Cloud Gaming system by integrating the Xbox app into TCL Smart TVs. These infrastructure expansions are occurring just as the new hourly streaming limits are set to be enforced across the platform for its users.
