Gemini 4 Argon takes on GPT-6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.5 with aggressive pricing

Google has officially launched Gemini 4 Argon, a new frontier-class AI model engineered to solve complex, long-running problems. Designed for specialized tasks across cybersecurity, finance, legal work, and engineering, the model aims to compete directly with GPT-6 Astra and Claude Opus 5.5 through aggressive pricing strategies. In line with this release, Google has scrapped previous plans to launch Gemini 3.5 Pro, focusing instead on the capabilities and market positioning of the new Gemini 4 Argon model.
