Kalshi slaps scandal-ridden George Santos with first-ever lifetime ban over shady bet

Kalshi has issued its first-ever lifetime trading ban against former US representative George Santos. The prediction market platform accused Santos of attempting to manipulate the market, allegedly making over $17,000 in illicit bets. In addition to the permanent ban, Santos was fined more than $71,000 for his actions. Following the announcement, the former congressman responded by mocking Kalshi. This marks the first time the platform has implemented a lifetime ban for a user.
