Getzville man sentenced for fatal 2024 Broadway shooting

The Erie County District Attorney's Office announced two sentencings on Monday. Jahi Pope, 23, of Getzville, received 20 years in prison and five years of post-release supervision after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter for a fatal 2024 Broadway shooting in Buffalo. Additionally, Benjamin Medley, 62, was sentenced to 1 1/3 to 4 years in prison and had his driver's license revoked for fatally striking a pedestrian at Grant Street and Amherst Street in December 2024.
